Ripe and concentrated on the nose, the 2019 Barbaresco Rizzi Riserva Vigna Boito is a jeweled ruby/red color and lifts with notes of candied berries, violets, strawberry licorice, and lavender. The palate offers good intensity and freshness, with firm tannins and even acidity. Mouthwatering, with a nice saline accent, notes of rocky earth, and dried apricot on the finish, this is an impressive Riserva to enjoy over the next 15 years.
