Lindquist Family Wines

After a brief stint working at Zaca Mesa as a tour guide and cellar rat from 1979 to 1982, Bob founded his own winery brand, Qupe in 1982. From that time until 2018 Bob grew the Qupé Winery brand from 900 cases to 35,000 cases annual production, adding single vineyard Syrah’s, Grenache, Marsanne, Roussanne, a red GSM blend, and a white blend based on Viognier and Chardonnay.

In 2018, Qupé was sold and Bob walked away from the winery brand that he had created 36 years earlier. He used this opportunity to launch a new brand called Lindquist Family, which released their first wines in 2019. An original Rhone Ranger, Bob Lindquist has been making wine on the Central Coast since 1982. His focus has been on Rhone varietals and Chardonnay from some of the best cool climate vineyards in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties. His wines are known for elegance, balance and longevity in the cellar, with a strong nod to the traditional winemaking techniques of the Old World. Lindquist Family Wines are made by master winemaker Bob Lindquist who specializes in crafting balanced, elegant Rhone grape varietal wines and Chardonnay from the best cool climate vineyard sites on the Central Coast. The production is small and focused and produces wines with great finesse.
