If not for Barolo, Barbaresco might claim the title of King of Italian wines. Barbaresco produces powerful Nebbiolos of its own, many of which will drink well eariler than those from Barolo nest door. The Nebbiolo grapes are grown on the rolling hills around the communes of Barbaresco, Treiso, Neive and a few others, alongside other local grapes like Moscato, Dolcetto and Barbera.
