All orders over $200 + tax qualify for free Regular Shipping (2-3 business days).

What does Regular/Free Shipping include?

Most Regular and Free Shipping orders will ship via Canada Post's 2-3 Business Day Expedited Service, or via courier for those nearest our Downtown Vancouver location. If you are not home when Canada Post attempts delivery, they will leave a notice in your mailbox and securely store your order for up to 10 business days. The pickup location will be your nearest postal outlet. Packages held for more than 10 business days will be automatically returned to Marquis Wine Cellars.

Those located within Vancouver-proper may request a courier door-to-door delivery within two business days for orders of a case or more. "Vancouver proper" also includes North and West Vancouver - it does not include Richmond, Burnaby, Surrey, Delta, Langley, Surrey, Coquitlam, Port Moody, or New Westminster.

Orders of less than a case may be delivered by courier within Vancouver if the Priority Shipping is paid. Unless explicitly requested and agreed to in advance, we reserve the right to select the method of delivery for every order.

By law we can't ship outside of the province and packages delivered by Canada Post cannot be left on the doorstep unattended.  To comply with liquor control laws, packages must be received by someone at least 19 years of age.

Is the recipient located in Downtown Vancouver?

  • Deliveries to downtown will arrive within a day or two under Regular or Free Shipping. Delivery hours are 10:00am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. No weekend or holiday deliveries.

  • If the shipping address is residential, we will need to contact the receiver in order to arrange a delivery time. Please leave their buzzer number or concierge info in the comments field. If we cannot get ahold of the receiver within a reasonable time period and require that information to complete a courier delivery, we will instead ship via Canada Post to recipients in downtown.

  • Please check the delivery address and recipient's holiday schedule carefully. We may charge additional shipping to re-ship if the person has moved, is away on vacation, or otherwise unable to receive the wines. Undelivered packages will be held by Canada Post for 10 days before automatically being returned to us. Second or third delivery attempts may incur additional charges.

  • Delivery ETAs are not guaranteed and are subject to driver availability, weather, and traffic conditions.

Is the recipient located outside of Vancouver Proper?

  • Your package will be shipped via Canada Post Expedited 2-3 Business Day service.
  • For faster delivery times, Canada Post Priority Shipping is available for an additional fee.
  • Recipients located outside of Vancouver but still within Lower Mainland may also be able to receive a courier delivery at extra cost (ask us).
  • Some rural areas, such as addresses with postal codes starting in "V0" may require Priority Shipping and/or additional charges.
  • Alternate arrangements can be made for delivery by courier and other shipping companies provided the sender cover all charges resulting from the delivery. Contact the store directly to make the necessary arrangements and pay any excess costs.
  • Delivery ETAs are not guaranteed and are subject to driver availability, weather, and traffic conditions.

Can I pick up my order from the store?

Prefer to skip the delivery charge and pick your wine up from our store? Do you take returns?

Yes, with a few conditions:

  • They're in re-sellable condition (labels intact, unopened, etc)
  • You have a receipt or can show that you purchased the wine from Marquis Wine Cellars.
  • For all returns, a 10% restocking fee may apply. For all returns over $1,000, there's a 15% restocking fee.
  • If we shipped the wine to you for free, you forfeit the shipping cost in your refund and must pay for any additional shipping required.
