Grapes: Zweigelt
Location & Soil: Neckenmarkt, Horitschon, Haschendorf, Unterpetersdorf, Raiding; deep loam soils with high percentage of lime in the lower altitudes; slate, gneiss and lime in the higher altitudes
Age of Vines: 10 – 45 years old
Altitude: 200 - 450 meters above sea level
Harvest / Yield: mid – end September / 55 hl per ha
Vinification: Hand-picked and hand-sorted prior to grapes entering crusher, 10-day natural fermentation in stainless steel tank, extended maceration with help of air pump, malolactic fermentation, ageing in big wooden barrel
Tasting Notes: deep ruby with hints of purple; aromas of sour cherry, herbal spiciness, lovely fruit sweetness, velvety tannins, fresh and fruity, dark berries on the finish
Food pairing: bacon-cabbage-strudel with tomato sauce

We use Canada Post for the majority of deliveries and a courier for those nearest our location. If you are not at home when Canada Post attempts delivery of your package, they will leave a note with the nearest pickup location. By law, we cannot ship outside of the province and packages delivered by Canada Post cannot be left on the doorstep. Orders for downtown Vancouver may arrive the same or next day depending on time of order. Order cut-off is generally 10am PST on a best-effort basis.
