Villa Wolf Gewurztraminer 750ml

Ernst Loosen of Dr. Loosen took over the J.L. Wolf estate in 1996, reviving a property founded in 1756 and reversing decades of decline. The Pfalz — Germany's warm, sunny "Tuscany," sheltered by the Haardt hills and sitting just north of Alsace — is natural Gewürztraminer country. Fermented and matured entirely in stainless, malolactic deliberately avoided to hold acidity. Pale gold with green tints. Lychee, rose petal and honeysuckle lead, with ripe apricot, ginger spice and orange blossom behind. Off-dry, lush and juicy on the palate, with lively acidity keeping the finish clean. Around 11.5% abv.
