Villa Malacari 2017 Rosso Conero 750ml

Dark and brooding in the glass, the 2017 Rosso Conero Villa Malacari smolders up with a mix of black currants, smoky crushed stone and nuances of sage. It’s silky and cool-toned in feel, ushering in mineral-tinged red berry and violet inner floral tones. A coating of grippy tannins lingers as the Villa Malacari finishes structured and almost salty in character. The 2017 comes across as nicely refined for the vintage, yet it could use a few years of cellaring to come fully into focus.
