Figaro is traditionally a wine released later than most of its competitors, a late bloomer of sorts with the rest of the vintage. The current release, Figaro '23, took a left turn away from roussanne and viognier, mixing 89% chardonnay with 8% viognier and 3% marsanne, freshening the nose and palate. I love the core of apple, soaked in citrus, with a modest streak of orange and apricots poking through its creamy texture. The finish is grown up, dry, and perfectly balanced. Bravo.
