The 2021 Sudtiroler Blauburgunder Riserva Girlan slowly blossoms with a beautiful mix of rose petals and cola, complementing blackberries with a sweet citrus tinge. It sweeps across the palate, round and pliant, with ripe wild berry fruits underscored by crunchy mineral tones as nuances of clove add contrast toward the close. It leaves a pinching tension through the finish, gently tannic and long with hint of licorice that gradually fades.
