This pétillant-naturel style rosé is made from 80% Sangiovese, and 20% Merwah. Fresh, red-fruited, with racy acidity, and this is a very quaffable sparkling dry rosé. Pair with scallops in lemon and sumac butter.
When you find a winemaker whose ethos is, "You won't find any 'Chateau Mersel' or 'Le Mersel' here. We are just 'Mersel Wine'. We are everyday people that support local farmers to make good Lebanese wine for everyone to enjoy!" you know that they are about the juice in the bottle! Coming from fruit in the Northern Bekka Valley, this lightly sparkling wine is super refreshing and chuggable. A Sangiovese-dominant blend with 20% inclusion of a native Lebanese red grape, Merwa, from the Qannboubine Valley. This wine is redolent with fresh red fruits like strawberries and raspberries, with a hint of herbaceousness, a saline minerality, and amazing freshness.
