A polished, sun-warmed expression of Chardonnay from the broad Pays d'Oc appellation, where Mediterranean warmth is moderated by cooling maritime influence and the drying tramontane wind — conditions that ripen fruit generously while holding onto freshness. The 2024 shows a bright, pale straw colour with faint green highlights. Cool-fermented in stainless steel to preserve primary aromatics, it opens with white peach, ripe pear and Golden Delicious apple, lifted by citrus blossom, honeydew and a hint of white flowers. The palate is clean and unencumbered — medium-bodied, with a rounded, faintly creamy mid-palate and gentle stone-fruit weight, balanced by crisp lemon-lime acidity that keeps the finish tidy and refreshing. Little to no oak influence, letting varietal fruit and southern French sunshine speak plainly. An easy, well-made everyday white with more charm and precision than its price suggests. Serve well chilled, 8–10°C; drink young while the aromatics are at their most vivid.
Pairing: roast chicken, grilled prawns, goat cheese salad, mild curries, or simply on its own as an aperitif.
