Domaine Jamet 2017 Cotes du Rhone 750ml
Slightly bigger, richer and riper than the IGP Syrah, the 2017 Cotes du Rhone is medium to full-bodied, creamy and supple, with similar notes of crushed stone, a fumé-like character. But it...
Jaboulet 2016 Cote Rotie "Domaine des Pierrelles" 750ml
Even better than I thought last year from barrel, the 2016 Cote Rotie Domaine des Pierrelles is all about elegance and finesse. Hints of cracked pepper and cured meat accent raspberries and cherries...
Jean-Luc Jamet 2016 Cote Rotie "Terrases" 750ml
The 2016 Cote Rotie shows lovely black cherry and dark berry fruit. It's medium to full-bodied, with a rich, supple mouthfeel and a long, silky finish. It's not the most nuanced Côte...
Domaine Bernard Gripa 2017 Saint-Joseph Rouge "Le Berceau" 750ml

Guigal 2014 Cote Rotie La Turque 750ml
Now that it's in bottle, the 2014 Cote Rotie La Turque has exceeded all of my earlier expectations. It's got those classic Côte Rôtie elements on the nose of smoked bacon, olives and...
Jaboulet 2016 Cornas "Domaine de St. Pierre" 750ml
Bright purple. Powerful black and blue fruit, tobacco and floral scents pick up olive and cracked pepper notes as the wine opens up. In a weighty, broad-shouldered style, offering appealingly sweet...
Description
Opaque magenta. Ripe blackberry and cherry liqueur aromas are complemented by suggestions of peppery spices, licorice and candied violet. Round, concentrated black and blue fruit flavors show very good delineation, and smoky mineral and cracked pepper elements add lift and back-end cut. Velvety tannins add subtle grip to a spicy, floral-dominated finish that lingers with strong tenacity. This is a small-production wine and crafted in an entirely different fashion than the Jamets’ other Côte-Rôties, which are made entirely with whole clusters. Made from 20-year-old vines and with de-stemmed fruit. Drink: 2023-2031
