The 2023 Riesling Jochinger Federspiel is a blend of loess and alluvial soils from the sites of Steinwand, Kollmitz and Jochinger Berg. This wine is usually bottled as Federspiel, but since grapes reached 13%, the designation is not possible. Nonetheless, this is not a disadvantage for these wines. While this is shy on the nose, the palate convinces with mountain-stream clarity and elegance. The 2023 is slender, stony and juicy, trailing gentle citrus on its dry finish. (Bone-dry)
