The 2018 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva is understated and floral, with lavender notes giving way to red plums and brown spice. It washes across the palate with ease, guided by juicy acidity. A burst of inner sweetness helps to balance its tart cherry-berry fruits. This finishes with admirable length and potent while maintaining incredible energy as hints of licorice and inner rose fade. The 2018 is already showing beautifully today but is full of medium-term cellaring potential.
