Faiveley 2021 Pommard "Les Rugiens" 1er Cru 750ml

Among the most beautiful climats of Pommard, "Les Rugiens" is divided into two parts, with that acquired by the Domaine in 2007 located in Rugiens Hauts, the most prestigious. This very sloping plot, exposed to the East and South-East, offers predominantly limestone soil. Pommard, like Nuits, does not have any Grands Crus. Nevertheless, the Rugiens, alongside the Grands Epenots and the Clos des Epenots, are considered to be the best climats of the appellation. This wine embodies elegance and class, with exceptional aging potential.

On the nose and on the palate, this wine offers a nice balance between aromas of black fruits and spices, with subtle woody and smoky notes. On the palate, it reveals all its power thanks to the increased presence of tannins, enveloped in a structure and a pleasant aromatic persistence.
