The 2016 Godello Fermentado en Barrica had a lot less oak than in the past, with the oak nicely integrated and adding some spiciness and texture. The nose is balsamic with plenty of fennel and licorice and a touch of white flowers. The palate is fresh and balanced with a dry, pleasant finish.
