Very ripe aromas include those of black cherry liqueur, cassis, poached plum and warm earth. In the same vein as the nose, the middleweight flavors are exceptionally rich and dense, indeed to the point of opulence, while the sappy if slightly rustic finish displays a touch of mocha character. This could fairly be described as a hedonistic Bourgogne.
