Appellation: Chablis Grand Cru Grape variety: 100% Chardonnay
Here there is enough reduction to push the underlying fruit to the background at present. There is an appealing tension and refinement to the succulent middle weight flavors that are supported by lemon-tinged acidity on the refreshingly dry, youthfully austere and intensely mineral-driven finale. This isn't especially dense but it's silky and certainly firm enough to need at least moderate patience. In a word, lovely.
