Red nervy fruit, pepper and oregano on the nose. The palate is juicy but incisive, with red bramble fruit. The palate is saline, succulent and focused, with so much harmony. From a 2-hectare plot planted in 1993 in Villa Bastías. Drink or hold.

From some of the first Pinot Noir planted in the Valle de Uco in the 1990s, in stony soils and still low-yielding, the 2023 Pinot Noir Grand Pere is intensely earthy and even feral. The fruit profile is dense and darkly brooding, with structured tannins and an earthy underpinning of forest floor and herbes de Provence. Medium-bodied, it has a depth of concentration and layers of length. Drink now through 2037.
