Sherried single malt from the Blair Athol Distillery, independently bottled by Hunter Laing for the Old Malt Cask range. Distilled back in November 1995, this expression was aged in a single sherry butt for 25 years, before being bottled up in May 2021 with a release of 197 bottles.
Nose: Summer berry tart with a dollop of extra thick double cream, dusted with sugar.
Palate: More of an orchard fruit style on the palate, with some chocolatey hints and a whiff of cinnamon.
Finish: Subtly drying on the finish with barley and oak.
