Barco del Corneta 2022 Parajes del Infierno ¨La Silleria 750ml

The 2022 Parajes del Infierno La Sillería is a serious and chalky barrel-fermented and -aged Verdejo from ungrafted centenary vines in the village of Alcazarén planted on sandy and limestone soils and which tend to produce a more austere and mineral wine. Even in this much warmer and drier year, they managed to keep the ripeness to 13.5% alcohol, but the pH (3.5) is higher than in previous years, making it softer and more tender. The bunches from four small plots were pressed, and the juice fermented and matured in 500- and 600-liter Austrian oak barrels for 12 months and then was transferred to stainless steel until bottling a few months later. 2,000 bottles were filled in June 2024.
