Zinfandel

Zinfandel is an exuberant red wine is capable of producing top quality red wines that can rival Cabernet Sauvignon. Flavours that show include black and red fruit, spice, pepper, tar, licorice and wood. Zinfandel can come in a range of styles, from fresh and fruity, to medium bodied and fuller flavoured, finishing with the big, super concentrated and powerful style with intense fruit and unbelievable richness. Zinfandel is commonly grown in California, but is grown elsewhere; and in Italy, where it is known as Primitivo.
