Rafael Tirado experimented with fermenting this vintage “turbio’”, or cloudy in English, and it has produced his flintiest Sauvignon Blanc yet with intense mineral notes and an almost oyster shell brininess. Fascinating considering this comes 100 kilometres away from the sea, at the heights of the Andes mountains. Intellectual, saline and mouth-watering.
