Bodegas Carrau 2020 Grande Reserva Tannat-Cabernet 750ml

This blend of 50% tannat, 30% cabernet sauvignon, and 20% cabernet franc all comes from a selection of blocks of Carrau's own vineyards planted in the calcareous-clay soils of Las Violetas, in Canelones. Each variety was aged separately for 18 months and spent another year in the bottle before being released to market. It has the tannins of tannat, but the herbs and spices of cabernet in a red with deep flavors supported by acidity that projects across the palate, lending nerve and freshness. One for deli meats.
