The powerful forces of smoke and sherry come together in this 2014 vintage Speyside single malt Scotch whisky from Benromach Distillery. The barley for this one was peated to 57ppm and then matured in first-fill oak casks for eight years, with time spent finishing in first-fill sherry hogsheads until it was bottled up in 2023.
Nose Blackcurrant compote, orange peel, toasted heather, and ginger.
Palate Creamy vanilla, bramble berries, peat smoke, and nutmeg.
Finish Long and spicy with woodsmoke underneath.
