Ehrenstetter Ölberg, Baden
From a small, cool, east-facing parcel on limestone and clay — a site made famous by grower Henrik Möbitz before Wasenhaus took it over. Fermented with a 50/50 split of French and German clones (German clones left whole-cluster) and aged 16 months in used French oak. The result is a serious, tightly wound wine: dark red cherry and spice on the nose, layered with dried florals and a savory, stony undertone. On the palate it's sleek and structured, with fine-grained tannins and real length — one of the more reticent, age-worthy wines in the range.
Style: Cool, structured, and precise — built for patience.
