Description
B Field Blend is new at Meyer. The fruit is centred around 2017 B Block on the estate, McLean Creek Road Vineyard. The vines are planted over gravels and sandy loams that slope across the property, providing excellent drainage for wind and water to the Dijon clones 115, 667, 777. The style is deeper and darker than the norm at Meyer, beginning with less fruit and more terroir. Earthy, plummy, dried black plums mark the palate with a solid dusting of baking spices. Tight and youthful, it is more suited to pork dishes at this point. Cellar through 2025.
