Lagar de Codegua 2021 Tannat 750ml

This seems pretty tame for a tannat, a variety with high acidity and fierce tannins. This shows some of that, although without going to extremes. What you find here are aromas and flavors of ripe red and black fruits, major acidity that seems to be the center of everything, and tannins that prickle on the tongue asking for grilled sausages. This tannat comes from vineyards planted in 2006 on stony soils at the Lagar property in Alto Cachapoal.
