Château Gassier sits at the foot of Montagne Sainte-Victoire, the limestone massif Cézanne painted repeatedly. Sables d'Azur draws selections from the estate's Sainte-Victoire terroir and the interior valleys of Provence, where mild winters, early springs and long dry summers ripen fruit fully while altitude and night cooling hold acidity. Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault, direct-pressed and cool-fermented, no oak. Pale pink with peach highlights. Redcurrant, clementine and grapefruit on an elegant nose; fresh and lively on the palate, red berry and peach closing on dried herbs and stone.
Pairing: grilled fish, roast chicken, tapenade, Mediterranean salads, chèvre.
