Description
Empirical The Plum, I Suppose is a unique and inspired spirit that combines the flavors of marzipan, plum, and floral notes. The aroma is reminiscent of frangipane tarts in Grandma's kitchen, with a sweet and nutty scent that evokes childhood memories. The spirit was actually inspired by a dessert that one of the founders had, and he still maintains that it's the best dessert of all time.
The Plum, I Suppose relies on the balance between two very different components: the kernel inside plum stones and distilled marigold kombucha. The kernel lends a marzipan, bitter almond flavor, while the kombucha adds floral and tannic notes that are reminiscent of plum skins. The combination is sort of the suggestion of plum, hence the reference to the Robert Frost poem.
This spirit can be enjoyed neat or over ice with citrus soda. It has a perception of sweetness with a refreshing finish, making it perfect for sipping on its own or mixing in cocktails. The Plum, I Suppose is a complex and intriguing spirit that is sure to delight anyone who enjoys the unexpected.
The Simple Serve recipe for The Plum, I Suppose involves mixing it with soda and lime, creating a refreshing and easy-to-make cocktail. The top notes are what brought the name to life, despite there being no fruit in the spirit at all. The Plum, I Suppose has 32% ABV, is made with all natural ingredients, and has no added sugar, making it a vegan-friendly option. Keep it refrigerated for the best taste experience.
