A deft application of wood sets off agreeably fresh aromas of acacia blossom, poached apple and pear plus a hint of spice. There is slightly better volume and mid-palate density to the sappy medium weight flavors that exude a subtle minerality on the equally well-balanced and mildly austere finish. This should drink well young but also repay mid-term keeping.
