Domaine Humbert Freres 2022 Gevrey Chambertin "Poissenot" 1er Cru 750ml

An exceptionally fresh nose combines notes of bright dark berries and plum with those of violet, earth and a hint of forest floor character, all of which is trimmed in subtle but not invisible wood treatment. The cool, energetic and mineral-infused medium weight flavors possess equally good power and delineation on the serious, dusty and moderately austere finale. I like the balance though this is also sufficiently compact to need all of a decade to resolve the underlying structure.
