Appellation: Côtes du Rhône AOC
Grape Varieties: Grenache Noir, Syrah, Cinsault and Mourvèdre
In the glass this wine is garnet red in colour with purple highlights around the edges. The nose is complex and offers a broad range of aromas that range from wild raspberry to black currant to baking spices. Similar flavours emerge on the palate that also reveals excellent volume, silky tannins and a firm backbone of acidity. As the wine finishes, you can detect hints of black pepper, licorice and a touch of garrigue. This is a quintessential everyday Cotes du Rhone, that would make a perfect house wine for this coming fall.
