The organic Terreno 2020 Chianti Classico Riserva Le Bonille di Sopra is loaded with delicate fruit nuances of black cherry and blackcurrant. The wine feels light on the palate, and I like the way it glides smoothly over the senses. This mid-level blend of 85% Sangiovese, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Colorino starts off in open-top fermenters and matures in botte grande for 24 months. Fruit comes from terraced vineyards with dry stone walls and a mix of alberese limestone and galestro shale soils at 400 meters above sea level.
