Terralsole 2008 "Trio" Toscana Rosso 750ml

The Trio incorporates three grape varieties: Cabernet Franc, Syrah, and Merlot. These grapes are grown in the best parts of Montalcino and all picked by hand. Rather than damage the grapes by mechanical pumping, Terralsole uses gravity-fed techniques. After segregated fermentation, the grape varieties are blended together and aged in French oak for 18 months and then bottled. This 2008 vintage was released in 2015. Nicely concentrated flavours of dark berries, black cherry, blackberry, with hints of tobacco, cocoa, and vanilla. More of the same on the palate, with more pepper, well-integrated tannins, and lengthy finish. Pairs perfectly with Tuscan cuisine.
