Ousyra 2022 Serifiotiko White Wine 750ml

This grape is so rare, it's not mentioned as one of the 1,368 wine varieties in 'Wine Grapes' by Jancis Robinson and colleagues! Austere bouquet, full-on concentrated vinous without any distinctive fruity character. Impressively powerful, bone dry, balanced, smooth and almost buttery despite there being no oak ageing. Very clean and needs to be given time in the glass. Hints of salinity and lemon zest. Incredible what happens on inhospitable sandy vineyards so close to the sea. Impressive!
