Masses of crushed stone minerality, dusty potpourri and savory herbs lift up from the 2017 Valpolicella Classico Superiore Poiega. It’s silky and textural, contrasted by tart wild berries and zesty citrus, while leaving a staining of purple-tinged florals. Salty minerals and a hint of fine tannin linger here, punctuating the expression quite nicely.
