Mas de Boislauzon 2017 Chateauneuf du Pape "Tintot" 750ml

The 2017 Chateauneuf du Pape Tintot is one of very few Mourvèdre-dominated (85%) representatives of the appellation. Mint-accented notes of strawberries and raspberries lead the way in this full-bodied, silky-textured effort. It's dense and rich, with ripe, almost dessert-like concentration, yet boasts a level of freshness and garrigue-like notes uncommon in this dry, sunny vintage. Ideally, it should be cellared at least a couple of years to allow the ample tannins to mellow, but collectors should be rewarded with a wine that drinks well for up to two decades from the vintage.
