The Ignacio Marin family have deep roots in the Cariñena region, with a winemaking heritage stretching back centuries. This tempranillo is from 30 year old vines from the region's stony, limestone soils. It was fermented in stainless before resting in older American and French oak for a minimum of 3 months. Fleshy and juicy black plum, blackberry, is seasoned with heady tobacco and toasty spice. Tannins are soft and supple, turning sticky on the warming finish. A lot of wine here for a low price, try this one with grilled burgers.
