The 2022 La Tene Pinot Noir, sourced from high-altitude (400-450m) limestone and clay soils in the Limoux region of Southern France, is a bright ruby-colored wine that captures a Burgundian style with fresh Southern French character. On the nose, it offers inviting aromas of raspberries, brambles, and delicate spices, accompanied by notes of forest floor and herbal garrigue. The palate is medium-bodied, supple, and juicy, highlighting flavors of cherry and wild strawberry, supported by fine, velvety tannins. It is a fresh and elegant wine, showcasing a clean finish that is both savoury and lively. With its low sulphur levels and thoughtful winemaking (finished in Beaune), it pairs impeccably with grilled salmon, duck, or poultry.
