Jayden Ong 2021 One Block Syrah 750ml

The 2021 One Block Syrah is aromatic and fine on the nose, with notes of rose petals, black cherry, cocoa powder, bone broth, a hint of enoki and lashings of exotic spices (a.k.a. star anise and fried fennel seed, saffron?) in the background. In the mouth, the wine is detailed and ashy, with layers of very fine, tissue-paper tannin that settle around the supple fruit. It is lean and spindly in shape but elegant and lithe in impression. This is very good, joyful, satisfying. 13% alcohol, sealed under Diam.
