The 2019 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Riparosso takes its time to fully blossom in the glass, as stone dust and earthy minerals give way to hints of wild strawberry and incense. It’s silky in texture, ushering in a polished display of red fruits and minerals; yet it’s also a bit monolithic in its youthful state. A tug of residual acids lingers, along with tart wild berries and hints of fine tannin, creating tension through the finale.
