The 2024 Sancerre is a nice surprise. It's a gentle, tender style with rounded shoulders and bright, balanced acidity. A small portion was made and matured in old barrels, which helped soften its angles. It also underwent some less stirring to increase palate richness. The 2024 is a ripe, attractive and classical Sancerre that overcomes the difficulties of the harvest.
