Genot Boulanger 2018 Volnay "Le Ronceret" 1er Cru 750ml

The 2018 Volnay Ronceret 1er Cru actually comes from Les Aussy (which can be labeled under Ronceret). Deeper and more limpid in color than the Volnay Village, it has an upfront dark cherry, raspberry and cranberry bouquet. The medium-bodied palate offers supple tannins and a fine bead of acidity. Quite structured, with gentle grip and impressive substance toward the finish, which Guillaume attributes to the vines planted in the early 1940s. This is excellent and comes highly recommended.
