A new white from the Single Vineyard series, the 2019 La Blanca Semillón is from old vines planted in 2009 in Maipo with some 10% of vines of Savignonasse. The juice from the full clusters fermented in old barrels with native yeasts, and the wine matured in a 2,500-liter oak foudre and seven barrels for 14 months. The nose is austere with no trace of oak. It has moderate alcohol (13.5%) and very high acidity with a low pH that makes it sharp, vibrant and refreshing, with a dry and tasty finish. It should develop nicely in bottle.
