Chene Bleu 2013 Heloise 750ml

The 2013 Vaucluse Heloise is mostly Syrah but includes small amounts of Grenache (as well as some Viognier and/or Roussanne). Its still lively ruby hue is followed by a mature, complex red with attractive red and black fruits, some gamey, cured meat-like nuances, medium body, lots of peppery spice, and supple, nicely integrated tannins. It opens up nicely with time in the glass and is a classy, elegant 2013 that should have no problems holding through 2028.
