The sole bottling of Barbera that Fabio Burlotto produced from the 2023 vintage, the 2023 Barbera D'Alba is a deep ruby/magenta but reflective color and is very pretty on the nose, with red fruit, black raspberries, fresh flowers, hints of tea leaf, and snappy freshness. It’s crunchy and fresh, with a rounder mouthfeel, but with a silky texture and a snappy lift on the finish. It is going to drink well now or over the coming 10 years.
