Maria Vargas - Marqués de Murrieta (Rioja)

Maria Vargas is a generational talent in Rioja. She began at Marqués de Murrieta as an intern in 1996 and was promoted to Technical Director by age 25. Known for her philosophy that "balance later becomes elegance," she was named "Best Winemaker in the World" at the 2021 Women in Wine & Spirits Awards. Jordan Kubek - Pamplemousse Jus (Summerland, BC)

Jordan Kubek is the co-founder and winemaker behind the cult-favourite label Pamplemousse Jus. After years of making wine in the Okanagan and abroad, she and her partners purchased a historic 10-acre farm in Summerland in 2023. She is one of the few winemakers in Canada championing the Leon Millot grape. Her style is strictly low-intervention: she works out of a garage-turned-winery using neutral vessels, basket presses, and wild ferments to create wines that are intentionally fun and unpretentious.

Sofia Ruhne - Terreno (Tuscany)

Sofia Ruhne represents the new generation of Chianti Classico. Since taking over her family's estate, Terreno, in 2015, she has shifted the winery entirely to organic farming and sustainable practices. In 2022, she became the first woman elected as President of the Montefioralle Winemakers Association.
