Moving into the Brunellos, the 2018 Brunello Di Montalcino takes on more richness and wooded spice, with sunbaked cherry, smoke, cedar, and ample baking spices. Open and inviting, with medium to full body and notes of vanilla bean, raspberry liqueur, and wooded earth, it has ripe and ample fruit through the mid-palate, with fine tannins, and toasted oak on the finish. A polished and more modern style, the oak should integrate well given another 6-12 months in bottle. Drink 2024-2038.
