2013 Vintage: Dark red cherry, plum, mocha, espresso, licorice and smoke are pushed front and center in the 2013 Orma. A super-expressive, Merlot-based Maremma, the Orma is showing beautifully today. With time in the glass, the wine gains creaminess and amplitude. This is a terrific example of the style of wine the Tuscan coast does so well.
Score 93 points -- Antonio Galloni. Tasting date: July 2016
2012 Vintage: The 2012 Orma is plump, juicy and quite expressive today. Blackberry jam, mocha, sweet spices and licorice are all woven together in a wine that typifies the textural resonance and plushness that make the wines of Maremma so appealing. Open and radiant, the 2012 will drink well upon release. Hints of sweet tobacco, licorice and herbs add the final shades of nuance.
